Meet Your Candidate
As a dedicated candidate for School Trustee in Ward 4 of the Sturgeon Public School Division, I bring a fresh perspective and a commitment to addressing the challenges facing our schools. My focus on community building and innovative solutions is aimed at creating a brighter future for all students and families in our district.
I am a married mother of two, including one child with special needs, which has given me a deep appreciation for the importance of inclusive education and strong school supports. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science and have worked with Alberta Health Services since 2004—first as a lab technologist in the transfusion lab and, since 2007, as an IT Analyst for the Transfusion Application. I now work in a casual position with AHS while also assisting my husband in running our family financial services business. Alongside my professional life, I am deeply involved in my community: I have served on school and community boards, foster cats with Second Chance Animal Rescue, and volunteer at our local school, helping with hot lunch and classroom activities. These experiences, both personal and professional, have shaped my commitment to being a strong, compassionate, and practical advocate for students, families, and our schools.

My Vision
My vision is for every child in our community to have access to safe, supportive, and inspiring schools where they can thrive. I believe in building a strong education system that listens to families, values teachers and staff, and keeps students’ success and well-being at the center of every decision. As a trustee, I will bring a fresh, independent perspective, advocate for fair and transparent use of resources, and work collaboratively to ensure our schools prepare all students for a bright future.
